Save a Grad Student!

Some of our readers and contributors are grad students.  Since they should be off now for Christmas break, I thought they would appreciate the sentiments in the above video.  Of course it is too late for them.  For any of our readers contemplating becoming grad students, this video might be a salutary warning:

  1. Hey, the big payoff is the thrill of getting Christmas cards from my more formal friends addressed to Doctor and Mrs. Zummo. So there’s that.

    Yeah.

  2. I’m a grad student in Physics and am glad that there are at least research positions that can be open if academia is unobtainable when I graduate in 3 years.

  3. The cost of an undergraduate degree has already necessarily skyrocketed so I doubt that in addition to that that I will be pursuing a graduate degree.
