Father Z plays whack-a-mole here with the attack on Mary Ann Glendon by Catholic Democrats, a group which has experienced a ferocious fisk from him before.  Jay Anderson at Pro Ecclesia has some perceptive thoughts in his post “… Dollars to Doughnuts …” regarding the attacks on Mary Ann Glendon now coming from some elements of the Catholic Left.
Catholic Democrats Attack Glendon And Run Into Father Z
Donald R. McClarey
Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 41 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.
By the way I did not know till today till I read the Catholic Thing that Envoy Glendon was a Democrat
Perhaps you and Jay Anderson and your followers (including your padawan, Tito) could acknowledge that some of us on “the” Catholic “Left” are applauding Glendon’s decision:

Considering that Tito started this blog Catholic Anarchist, if anything here I am in the padawan role to him. In any case your point is well taken. I applaud all Catholics, whatever their political beliefs, who support Glendon’s refusal to be part of this charade and I have amended my post accordingly.
I applaud all of those who are standing up for Ambassador Glendon. If you are among them, thank you.
That said, I don’t believe I have implied that EVERYONE on the Catholic “left” has attacked her. In fact, I specifically referred to a “subset” of those who might be described as “left”.
My point was to highlight that the attacks on Ambassador Glendon that Mr. Winters was SURE would come from the “right wing” never materialized and instread came from those who are more in tune with Mr. Winters’ way of thinking.
It is also important to consider than our (maybe my, I speak for myself here) reasons for applauding her decision are slightly different than yours.
Actually, I’m not sure how “important” it really is.
By the way, folks might want to read UPDATE #3 to my post, which is somewhat enlightening. It seems that Michael Sean Winters, who was so sure – “I bet dollars to doughnuts …” – that the so-called “right wing” would turn on Amb. Glendon and begin to attack her, and who attempted to appropriate to himself the moral high ground by declaring what a travesty it would be for the so-called “right wing” to “throw[] overboard” such a “source of pride for all Catholics”, has now decided that Amb. Glendon was not such a worthy honoree after all.

What a partisan git.
I’ve deleted your comments Rabdrake. You attempt to use the molestation of children by some priests, and their protection by some bishops, in order to justify your pro-abort stance of celebrating the destruction of the lives of innocent children. I will not allow such a sin against logic in one of my threads.
