I am so old that I can recall when comics were supposed to be funny.
Don’t Let the Door hit You on the Butt

“dispersion of self into a…”
Sounds like hell.
Actually David, Colbert sounds like a Hindu.
I can remember when Catholics used to be Catholic.
He was insufferable when he was merely a correspondent for The Daily Show. He only became exponentially moreso. I’m sure he has a bright podcasting future.
Stephen D. … thanks.. did not know that… but not a surprise..
“Father Chad Ripperger views Hinduism and its associated practices as spiritually dangerous. He frequently warns that yoga, meditation, and eastern religions are portals to the demonic, claiming they are based on false spiritual realities that can lead to possession or diabolical influence…”
Stephen who?
…a professional Catholic….
haaahahahaaa.
Now that’s funny.😃
It’s too scary to be laughable … This guy claims to teach catechism class for children.
If he’s teaching catechism I would draw a parallel to the practice of blood letting. Both practices do nothing to help the individual, and actually hinder the process of growth and the flourishing of life.
Abortion is the killing of an innocent human being. The sacrament of Holy matrimony is and always will be between a male and female.
To teach otherwise is very very dangerous for all concerned;
Douay-Rheims Bible
***But he that shall scandalize one of these little ones that believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone should be hanged about his neck, and that he should be drowned in the depth of the sea.***
This “Not the Bee” graphic is pretty funny, though! 😀
When people say “I feel that“ it means they have no evidence, no proof, haven’t thought about it, and or know they are wrong, but don’t want to give up their erroneous idea.
“To us a human is primarily food; our aim is the absorption of its will into ours, the increase of our own area of selfhood at its expense. But the obedience which the Enemy demands of men is quite a different thing. One must face the fact that all the talk about His love for men, and His service being perfect freedom, is not (as one would gladly believe) mere propaganda, but an appalling truth. He really does want to fill the universe with a lot of loathsome little replicas of Himself-creatures, whose life, on its miniature scale, will be qualitatively like His own, not because He has absorbed them but because their wills freely conform to His. We want cattle who can finally become food; He wants servants who can finally become sons. We want to suck in, He wants to give out. We are empty and would be filled; He is full and flows over. Our war aim is a world in which Our Father Below has drawn all other beings into himself: the Enemy wants a world full of beings united to Him but still distinct.”
Your affectionate uncle, Screwtape (Chapter 8)
His show was not profitable to the network which reflects rare justice of the world to all, the show, Colbert and the audience.
He was not entertaining. He was not funny. He was not worth watching. He has, in his own way, helped to destroy late night talk TV.
Carson, Allen, Paar…are sorely missed by those who remember them. I can’t even remember Paar.
