Some misguided conservatives have considered Jake Tapper a moderate. Yeah, a moderate who wants to see you unemployed if you differ with him politically. A member of the Stasi couldn’t have put it more succinctly circa 1979. I will fight people like Tapper until the last breath I draw.

About 20 years ago, Lingua Franca published an article about an involved dispute over a tenure case at Harvard, in the course of which a committee of outside evaluators meant to examine the application of a political theorist included not one but two child psychologists. The article provoked a reply from Prof. Norman Cantor, who remarked that for all their elaborate procedures, Harvard had recruited and retained a history department which was ‘no better than ten others’. If my own experience as a student (at three different institutions during periods of my life separated by a dozen years) is any guide, the set of authors of the texts you use in class and the material you find for your research papers isn’t thick with Harvard faculty.
So, for all their winnowing of their applicant pool, they come up with this lout. I wonder if he’s chums with David Hogg.
