I love the way that Orthodox Jews in New York are pushing back against Cuomo and DeBlasio, and the barely beneath the surface antisemitism of the contemporary Left. They are absolutely fearless and will not be pushed around by anyone. May their tribe increase.

Orthodox Jews are serious folks. Serious about their religion, serious about their families and serious about their work. We can learn much from them. Maybe once we are ostracized like they are we might act more like them. Persecution can bring out the best and the worst in folks. It is high time we were tested.
Per Michael Dowd- @”Persecution can bring out the best and the worst in folks. It is high time we were tested.”-
Michael though it may be true that persecution and testing can bring out the best in us is it something we should seek or hope for? Our Lord taught us in the Our Father to pray NOT to be led into the trial. Of course trials, testing, and temptation will come. But should we seek it out as a good in itself?
Anyway I concur, the witness of these faithful Orthodox Jews is much to their credit. We would do well to emulate them.
Catholics and other denominations have faced plenty of discrimination in the US. Some of our ancestors came to this country for religious freedom. Though fleeing persecution some hypocritically some brought their anti- (fill in the religion ) ideas with them. The worst threat IMHO is CINO like Biden, Cuomo bros., etc.
JFK was a pretty big step for Catholics. People treat him as a step forward because he was a Catholic president (and still the only Catholic president I think?) but he only got there by saying that he would not let his faith inform him in any way whatsoever. Effectively he set up the precedent that the only acceptable Catholic in government is a CINO.
