True – but the Republicans were saying the opposite as well. For every Democrat that said we shouldn’t wait (when Obama was the lame duck) there was a Republican who said we should hold off. Just proves that there is no integrity on either side (not that it should surprise anyone).

When the parties controlling the Senate and the White House are divided. Truth to tell the GOP was making a practical distinction since there is no way that the majority party in a presidential election year is going to confirm a Justice of the opposing party.
Who says Trump is a lame duck? He won’t be a lame duck for another 6 weeks. And then only if he loses.
