A New Faith

Hattip to commenter CAM.  Well, the fact that a Catholic priest, albeit a Jesuit, was preaching race hatred instead of Catholicism, has made the big time in the media.  That none of our Bishops are saying boo about it will come as no surprise to sentient Catholics.  They either support it or are paralyzed with fear of being called a racist, seemingly the only remaining sin in Christianity these days:

“I now invite you to stand, and join us in the prayer for racial justice, by responding ‘yes’ to each of the following statements,” Boller began after the reception of Holy Communion, and before the final blessing. Watch video here starting at minute 54:09.

He then asked his congregation a series of questions, disguised as a prayer that did not mention God or Jesus Christ. After each question, the faithful responded with “yes.”

“Do you support racial justice, equity, and compassion in human relations?” Boller started. “Do you affirm that white privilege is unfair and harmful to those who have it and to those who do not? Do you affirm that white privilege and the culture of white supremacy must be dismantled where it is present?”

Go here to read the rest.

Note how this was done as a blasphemous parody of the question and answer response of a baptismal ceremony?  In a way this was also a baptismal ceremony into a new racist Leftist faith.  I do appreciate that the priest left God out of his sing-song response, but God is a completely disposable element for Leftists.  At best He is boob bait to get to get rubes in the door to be indoctrinated proselytized.   Recently I have been re-reading the French Revolution section of Will and Ariel Durant’s Story of Civilization, and this parody reads as if it were one of the burlesques of the Mass celebrated in churches at that time in France to the goddess of freedom or liberty, anything but God.  We live in dark times and the lights are growing dimmer.

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

All of need to recognize that the “rough beast, its hour come round at last, Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born” was Vatican II, a Marxism conspiracy to transform the Church as an agent of the devil. “Social Justice” was the rallying cry.

All of what we are now see in the Church with the promotion of BLM, feminism, income re-distribution, our heretical Pope, homosexuality among the clergy, etc. are merely current manifestations of the Vatican II conspiracy.

The Catholic Church must go through a reformation and purification. In the meantime we should listen to Archbishop Vigano and do as he suggests.

I dont know about George Floyd, but J. Blake had a sex assault charge against him. Guess #metoo is extremely outdated.

Not just “a sex assault charge against him,” the police were called because the gal he was threatening with a knife is the victim that had a restraining order against him.

The car he was shot getting into isn’t his, and the kids in it are hers.

Found Floyd’s criminal records, he didn’t rape her but he did break into a lady’s house and point a gun at her gut while robbing her. (A bit more specific than ‘threatened to gut-shoot’.)

Pointed it at her belly when she was visibly pregnant is my understanding.

The Left sure knows how to pick their symbols.

Someone pointed out that the Xavier parish prayer is a parody of the baptismal vows.

It reminds me of the spot-on description of Unitarians:

“They believe in the fatherhood of God, brotherhood of man and neighborhood of Boston.”

The leftism of parishes like Xavier always comes with the incense of comfortable suburban self-regard.

“Guess #metoo is extremely outdated.”

Once the Dems realized how dangerous it was, it was shoved back into the shadows. It was too threatening to the agenda.

The status of women in the progressive utopia is going to be pretty unpleasant for most of them, and a rude shock to the true believers.

Just ask Rose McGowan.

Which was pointed out in the post, Dale…

Sigh.

That’ll teach me to speed-read.

I would have said urban faux-sophisticated elitism, but I guess that works.

Was this Mas even valid?

Yes, the Mass was valid and the communion was the Body and Blood of Christ if he was a duly ordained priest which I would assume he is, given that the parish is listed as Roman Catholic. I checked as I once went into St. Thomas a Becket church while visiting Manhattan; the saint is my birthday saint. After praying at Mary’s altar on my way out I picked up a bulletin and only then realized it was Anglican.

Eric Metaxas’ points about using religious services to slowly indoctrinate the faithful away from God and His son Jesus Christ is valid and is based in history. He used Nazi Germany as an example. Luckily there were in the German Catholic Church brave men like Cardinal von Galen who used his sermons to fight against the Nazi atheistic “religion”. These sermons were printed and secretly distributed throughout the country. Unfortunately 1,000-2,000 priests, brothers and nuns were martyred by the Nazis.
We have freedom of the press in the US, yet most of our cardinals and bishops have not spoken out about the Marxism of BLM, of antifa, of Catholic publications, or the co-opting of the Mass as seen in the video. Archbishop Vigano is the bravest. He knows the battle has started.
