I’ve seen a lot of “fact checking” articles which say that President Trump is lying here, because deaths are not proportional, or because a Harvard probablistic model says that black people are more likely to be shot than white people, or because President Trump didn’t cite his source. Then buried at the bottom of the article there will be a line saying that, by the way, there really are more white people than black people killed by police. That way they can claim that they already dealt with the official statistics when people point them out.
The only service that “fact checkers” provide to society is demonstrating the multitude of ways that you can mislead the public.
