Our national World War II memorial was also defaced last week.  Amazing how contemporary self-proclaimed anti-Fascists attack the men who defeated real Fascism in World War II.  When it comes to contemporary anti-Fascists, you can leave off the “anti” part.

How pig ignorant does one have to be to believe Winston Churchill was a “war provok[er]?”

These people have the worldview of “the only thing that matters about history is that it led up to me. The only policies that matter are the ones that give me something and which make my enemies hurt.”

They have no history, no literature, no patriotism, no philosophy, nothing but an all consuming desire to make things all about them, forever.

The scary part is not so much that people like this exist, because they have always existed. The scary part is how many otherwise normal people take the knee to them (either metaphorically or literally) as if they were our moral betters.

And amongst all the legitimate criticisms of Trump, he is hardly “war provoking”. Barring the unlikely event that he takes the USA to a war in the next 6 months, he will become the first president elected for the past 92 years (since Herbert Hoover) who did NOT take the USA to war.

On the contrary Trump extracted the USA from at least 3 wars that his predecessors had taken it into.
