New York Times Hardest Hit

The economy added two and a half million jobs in May as Americans began to return to work.  It looks like a v-shaped recovery is a definite possibility.  Go here to read all about it.  If National lockdowns can’t keep the economy down, Democrats better start praying for the Zombie Apocalypse, or invaders from Dimension X, before November.  (However, I wouldn’t bet against Trump finding a way to make both the Zombies and the Dimension Xers increase the national economic performance.)

Democrat governors are doing their best to destroy their own economies. Wonder how long they can hold out claiming the sham-virus is still with us?

Our Governor Nuisance out here in California hasn’t been half-bad, actually. He’s pushed forward timelines to reopen, left a lot of the decisions (and the heat) to the counties, and has used soft language on issues like the reopening of beaches. No screech-owling at critics like the governors of New York or Illinois. On screen he looks like a nervous poker player trying to fill an inside straight. He wants the economy back open to avoid more legislative seats flipping Republican, service cuts and public union layoffs. I might even give him a C.

Meanwhile there’s a new Rasmussen poll claiming that Trump now has an approval rating among likely Black voters of 41 percent. It may be an outlier but if the real numbers are even 1/2 or 1/3 of that, the Dems are in serious trouble. I wonder if they aren’t attempting to throw the election the way the Black Sox threw the 1919 World Series, i. e., they are actually trying to lose.

One possibility that came through my mind is that the Democrats may lose as hard as possible while simultaneously doing all they can to ruin the country. Then when President Trump wins his second term in a landslide they say “the vote was obviously hacked by foreign agents. There’s no way that the margin of victory could be that large when the country is doing so poorly.”

The problem has been that state and local officials made mistakes they were slow to correct, which in turn has generated compliance issues. Now (with the assistance of lunkheads at the University of Washington), Democratic mayors and governors have blown any inclination to compliance out of the water by allowing feral and malevolent people to congregate and spew virus all over each other while the more adventurous and criminal among them trash local businesses and to do so over a complaint that is complete humbug. (Sorry, there is no distinction between ‘peaceful protesters’ and rioters in these circumstances; they’re just two aspects of the same asinine enterprise).

For once, the destruction of Democrat cities is based on a fact. George Floyd actually cried, “I Can’ Breath.” Most of the other police killing hoaxes and ‘pomp and circumstances’ were based on lies.

After Black Lives Matter have won, they will recruit find a literate white woman (unable to find a literate man, black or white) to come to the smoking ruins to edit the Pledge of Allegiance to read, “One, Nation Under Black Lives Matter, Indivisible, With Liberty And Violence For All.”

See Jack Dunphy on ‘I can’t breathe’. Per Dunphy, it’s a common tactic among those resisting arrest, which may be why Chauvin didn’t pay it much heed.

Facts don’t matter to the Alinsky playbook. I think Art is exactly right, the local Dem authorities have let this go past their willingness (or maybe also their ability) to get it under control. My brother the cop also agrees with Art. He says “I can’t breathe” is almost a mantra for many arrestees who resist, which mostly means those under the influence of booze or drugs.
And as for those stubborn facts, even the WaPo’s own tally sheet shows a drastic decline in white-cop-kills-unarmed-black incidents, from (if I recall correctly) 38 In 2015 to 9 in 2019. The whole narrative is a myth.
