The Flynn Case: A Guide For the Perplexed

Law blogger Viva Frei does a first rate job in explaining the Government’s motion to dismiss in the case against General Michael Flynn.  Go here to read the motion.  The Flynn case is a prime example of a perjury trap where there was no underlying crime.  It was a political prosecution from the onset with the top officials at the FBI and the Justice Department using the case as part of their ongoing war against the Trump administration.  A prime example of the Deep State at work on our dime.

Trump may have to end this by pardoning Flynn. Isn’t this the reason for the power to pardon in the first place…to rectify injustices like this?

Better in the long run for Flynn if the charges are dropped. Not that the media will ever call that an exoneration. A pardon would imply he did something he shouldn’t have.

But the deep-state is most definitely trying to goad Trump into a pardon they can politicize.

Note, this wouldn’t be possible if perjury and related offenses were in the U.S. Code defined the way they were in the Penal Law of New York. Congress has completely failed to effect proper repairs to the federal criminal code to see to it that it dovetails optimally with state law.

There was no case. Flynn charges were bogus and must be dropped.
Can Flynn be compensated for the financial ruin?
