But, yeah, the others are disorders-whether mental or biochemical I am not entirely sure. I am guessing a brain chemistry/hormonal problem coupled with family/social dysfunction causes them. I am also guessing trying to do research on whether pharmaceuticals leeching into the waterways might be causing us harm more than parts per trillion of dioxin or PFAS can get one fired from one’s research job.
I’d go with “socially defined artificial markers,” at least in most cases, but gotta admit the attempt to completely over-write– no, flatly deny— biology, is worrying.

Thank you. I’ve been explaining this for 25 years, ever since “gender” began to be the replacement word for the sex in the 90s. Of course you get incomprehesion stares back at you. I try to explain the difference using well known examples, such as calling a ship “her” or “she”. The boat has a gender but not a sex. The sex of a person is determined at the cellular level and not necessarily externally visible. A man who had his arms or legs removed due to war is no less of a man. It doesn’t change if “other” parts are removed as well.
When will this nonsense end?

DJH: Estrogen passed by women who use contraceptive pills is polluting our water, all water. Amphibians in Minnesota are growing a fifth leg out of their abdomen. Smelts off the coast of California are disfigured by pollution. Estrogen in the drinking water may cause emasculation of all males. Pope Francis is so worried about the planet why does Francis not speak out against contraceptive pills?
This is how civilizations collapse.

In addition to repealing pro-life and pro-family laws the majority in the Assembly of Virginia want to add a third choice “X” to the DMV Driver’s License sex boxes, i. e. M, F, X. Of course the Feds are still unenlightened with the choices of Male and Female on the passport application so if X is on the new driver license it could cause problems attempting to travel by air.
I’m waiting to see if the Assembly wants to change the birth certificate form. Genealogy is complicated enough in this county as is.
