The Rebel and its founder Ezra Levant are under investigation for releasing and promoting an anti-Liberal book during the federal election while “failing to register as a third party”, according to a letter from lawyers for Commissioner of Canada Elections Yves Cote.
“Rebel News contravened the (Canada Elections) Act…having incurred over $500 on elections advertising expenses,” writes commissioner lawyer Mylene Gigou in the December 9, 2019 missive.
“It is alleged that Rebel News engaged in election advertising in its production and distribution of ‘Libranos’ signs during the election period.”
Levant’s book, “The Libranos: What the media won’t tell you about Justin Trudeau’s corruption,” was released on October 10, 2019–eleven days before the general election–accompanied by an advertising strategy featuring lawn signs.
This all reminds me of this scene from a movie, The Lives of Others, about life in East Germany:
At 15, I spent a day in East Berlin. Appropriately, it seemed like there was no sun at all that day. The skies were so grey. No one who ever experienced Communism/Totalitarianism would ever go back. Unfortunately, we have a segment of the population that remains willfully ignorant of such things and supports petty little tyrants like Bernie. I don’t think they will ever have real power, though. Americans are too decent.
As Mr. Levant has noted, twenty-three other Canadians published books about Trudeau in the time leading up to this most recent general election, but none of those other authors is under a similar investigation by the Canadian government— perhaps because none of those other books were critical of Justin Trudeau.
Also, the Trudeau government’s election commission had denied Levant’s application for admission to cover the Canadian election debates for his news organization. That ruling was later overturned, but the hassle cost Levant about $18,000 in legal fees. This most recent action of Trudeau’s government promises to be a great deal more expensive for Levant in both time and money. Surely other Canadian journalists will be thinking long and hard before they get too critical of their Prime Minister these days— which is what I suppose is the intention behind the government’s lawfare against Mr. Levant.
We have so many reasons to be grateful for our Bill of Rights here in the USA.

Janet Napolitano under Obama libeled all returning veterans as “right wing extremists” simply because they knew how to defend themselves with a gun and are free to exercise their Second Amendment civil rights. Napolitano also libeled the Right to Life as
“right wing extremists” because they are of the opinion that our Founding Principles inscribed with The Right To Life must be honored by our government. Hillary Clinton, as Obama’s Secretary of State, went to the United Nations to sign us all up for a Small Arms Treaty, that is, for the UN to removes all of our firearms as self-defense. Even Jack Philips in his self-defense against the LGBT invasion of his personal space in his Masterpiece Bake Shop is being denied his innate human right to self-defense against the invasion of demonic possession, along with Barronelle Stutzman and Aaron and Melissa Klein. All of whom are being denied their Eighth Amendment civil right to be treated according to their Bill of Rights.

It must be remembered that all sovereign persons under the monarchy as is Justin Trudeau are subjects of the Crown. Queen Elizabeth has the authentic authority and power to haul in Justin Trudeau’s despicable display of tyranny over another sovereign person created equal by “their Creator”. Sovereign persons made in the image and likeness of The Supreme Sovereign Being are not to be abused by the powerful and illegitimate. Sovereign persons must be respected.
