Final words uttered by the Saint when he was executed by firing squad along with three other martyrs of the Cristero War on August 15, 1926. It is said he died with a smile on his lips. He was two days past his twenty-first birthday.
Great example. I wonder what I would do and if I would have the same courage in similar circumstances. To die a martyr – that used to be a remote thought for me but it seems slightly more possible as time unfolds. May we remember those who bravely led the way and endured the sting of death for sake of the Lord. Happy Memorial Day weekend to all the TAC warriors! 🙂
