I have had an epiphany in regard to Governor Infanticide. He is a throwback to the grand Southern tradition of electing crooks and scoundrels for their entertainment value. Don’t get me wrong. Northern voters are just as likely to elect crooks and scoundrels, Illinois in the past 50 years has had four governors in the slammer, but they usually lacked the amusement factor of their Southern counterparts.
Ralph, I regret that you will almost certainly be gone in a few days. For all your poisonous beliefs, you have a certain daffy Candide quality as you moonwalk through the disastrous closing days of your political life.

What a bizarre movie clip!
Another topic for President Trump’s Tuesday night speech. Eight years of Barack Hussein Obama set back by 100 years US race relations.
It’s always different for Democrats. If it were not for double standards, they would have no standard at all.
I think Les Femmes has a finger on this pulse—when even demoncraps want this man gone: they are salivating over his possible replacement: https://lesfemmes-thetruth.blogspot.com/2019/02/why-do-they-want-northam-to-resign-as.html
??? This guy isn’t Earl K. Long. By all appearances he’s an ordinary professional-class type, with the attitudes to match. That he’s from the Virginia Tidewater and not Boston means there is some tempering and some stylistic difference. What’s odd about him is that he gave up practicing medicine to enter politics. What’s doubly-odd is that he did so even though he admits that prior to 2007 he didn’t give much thought to public life. No clue why he’s doing what he’s doing, but it wouldn’t surprise me if the half-assed Republican oppo researchers also failed to uncover a mess of malpractice settlements.
“This guy isn’t Earl K. Long.”
No, Earl Long would have been vastly more intelligent. Huey Long would have been vastly more intelligent and amusing. So far as I can tell Nothram is a man vastly out of his depth who leans for support on his wife.
“I think Les Femmes has a finger on this pulse—when even demoncraps want this man gone: they are salivating over his possible replacement:”
The Democrats could care less about his replacement, they simply want him gone. They recognize this is a bad story for them, with legs.
Just imagine what Washington, Jefferson and Madison would have to say about this ass.
Virginians ain’t what they used to be.
No, Earl Long would have been vastly more intelligent.
Did Northam pass his board-certification exams? If the answer is yes, general intelligence isn’t an issue with him. I think you meant to say ‘cunning’ or ‘crafty’, which is a different quality.
The governor reminded me of a few bishops that tip to around certain issues.
Not this one!
He is a man of and for God!
Spokane is blessed;

“If the answer is yes, general intelligence isn’t an issue with him.”
I have met more than a few lawyers and doctors Art who have given every indication of being complete idiots outside their professions, and on occasion within their professions. I have spent my adult professional life among the credentialed and color me generally unimpressed.
I’m not sure if this has any bearing on Northam and his yearbook, but as one other article asked, why weren’t these pictures found before? Or were they and held by the dems? There are a few more states that plan on passing extreme late term abortion bills and the word is that it’s possible these pictures of Northam were exposed by his own party to take the heat off his abortion comments and take the focus off late terms abortion bills that are going to be introduced.
I have met more than a few lawyers and doctors Art who have given every indication of being complete idiots outside their professions,
I don’t think that’s atypical among professionals. The problem you get (mostly with faculty members) is when they confound general intelligence and expertise and confound articulateness with general intelligence. See Thos. Sowell on this.
I think it was about a dozen years ago that someone like Michael Barone offered that politicians in crisis situations don’t improvise well. Most of them recapitulate stances and responses which have worked for them in the past.
Possible answer to the why here.
Short answer: A certain kind of Republican is too proud to fight.
Regarding Virginia – it isn’t what it used to be. Arlington county has been a magnet for immigration from El Salvador for decades – legal and otherwise. The lady I was dating and briefly engaged to 20 years ago lived in Arlington County and there were lots of Salvadorans there then.
The Washington, DC suburbs now control Virginia. They will turn Virginia into New York State or Illinois. Fairfax, Arlington, Alexandria and now even Loudon and Prince William Counties are full of left wing leaning government workers and those whose private sector work is tied to government spending. The scale started tipping while Dubya was President and went over to the Democrats when Obumbler . It took a long time to flip Virginia to the GOP on a statewide basis. It took the Democrats very little time to flip it back. Virginia has elected tax raising Democrats – Warner and Kaine – to both Governor and Senator.
Northern Virginia – the label given to the DC suburbs, which now stretch further west than Manassas and as far south as Fredricksburg – have nothing in common with the rest of Virginia.
The same fate likely awaits Pennsylvania. The Philly suburbs were Rockefeller Republican. Bill Clinton flipped them. Almost all Latino immigration occurs near Philly. If the rest of Pennsylvania could tell Philly and its burbs to shove off, things would be better for all of us.
I’m not sure if this has any bearing on Northam and his yearbook, but as one other article asked, why weren’t these pictures found before?
Considering many yearbooks are now digitized and found on Ancestry.com, the question is most pertinent. Supposedly, Gillespie’s campaign expenditures were on the order of $29 million. (The VMI Yearbooks wherein Northam appears are digitized and readily available, btw. His 1981 Yearbook lists his nicknames as “Goose” and “Coonman”; he was on the Honor Court two years running and President of it during the academic year concluding in June 1981; he was also listed in Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges; he was in addition “Battalion Commander”). Well, we have this bit of wisdom from Gillespie’s campaign manager, “Chris Leavitt was Gillespie’s campaign manager. He said one thing that harmed his campaign was a reluctance among Republicans to vote early so the campaign has a better idea of where it stands.
“The challenge for us is that Republicans like to vote on Election Day. They love it. They love showing up, and they love getting their sticker. We’ve got a lot of work to do to try to convince our folks to come out on a Saturday and vote.”
This is the campaign manager. Bachelor, about 35 years old.

Early voting, absentee voting, voting by mail, all of it is just voter fraud by another name.
If Northam resigns, Lt Governor Fairfax will be governor for the 3 remaining years of Northam’s term. Fairfax then can run for his own term of office. That means if elected, he will serve 7 years as governor. In Virginia an elected governor can serve only one term of 4 years.
A huge head shot of Northam was on the cover of the Richmond Sunday paper with the super of “Northam: It Wasn’t Me”.
Interesting was an article in the same edition on former Governor and Senator George Allen. The article complimented Allen on his ability to have both sides of the aisle supporting his accomplishments as governor. Nostalgic? Allen was in town on Friday speaking.
Fairfax is a lawyer who lives in NoVa and hits all the tick boxes. I’m sure the progtrash wing of the Virginia Democratic Party is salivating to get him in the governor’s chair.
