The tight little world of the Vatican revolves around signs, and Edward Pentin brings us a rather clear one:
In a last minute change, Pope Francis will open the academic year at the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and the Family in Rome, replacing Cardinal Robert Sarah whom the Institute had originally scheduled for the task.
The news of the Holy Father’s attendance at the Oct. 27 inauguration comes just weeks after the Pope controversially hand-picked two prelates — Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia and Msgr. Pierangelo Sequeri — to head the institute.
The appointments caused some distress as Archbishop Paglia and Msgr. Sequeri, respectively the Institute’s new grand chancellor and president, have expressed views that critics say contradict the moral clarity of the Church’s traditional approach to marriage and the family, something the Institute has always tried to uphold.
Their arrival also came on the heels of the Synods on the Family when some elements of Pope St. John Paul II’s teaching on marriage and the family were sidelined by the synod organizers in favor of the kinds of views held by the new leadership.
Some see the replacement of Cardinal Sarah, who heads the Vatican’s department for liturgy, as a blow to the African cardinal whose preference for clarity when it comes to the Church’s moral teaching is well known. His substitution also follows his outspoken comments in July, advocating priests to celebrate Mass facing East, which earned him a reprimand from the Vatican.
Go here to read the rest. That whirring sound you are likely hearing are the mortal remains of Saint Pope John Paul II revolving like a top.

It’s all part of his green agenda. His predecessors spinning in their graves will be an alternative source of energy.
“What you bind on earth will be bound in heaven what you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” What is bound on earth is bound in heaven and cannot and will not be changed. Pope Francis is giving every marriage or two thirds of marriages on earth an official unannounced annulment. Annulments must be requested. Pope Francis now wishes priests in the confessional to grant annulments. The Sacrament of Penance is for the confession of sins. Abuse of the Sacrament of Penance will not grant annulments but only abrogate the law for the Sacrament,..and this will be bound in heaven…the denial of forgiveness and absolution to true penitents. The souls who go to hell because of Francis will come for him.
I hope that His Eminence Cardinal Sarah publishes the opening address he’d
intended to give. It would be instructive to do a ‘compare and contrast’ with
the remarks that will be given by this Holy Father.
Mary, the Roman Pontiff doesn’t care at all about anything you posted. He has his own opinions and that’s all that matters to him. Catholic teaching is to be cast aside when Bergoglio doesn’t like it. God will deal with him. When that will be is not known to any of us.
When God deals with Bergoglio, I may then stop speaking truth. No I will continue speaking the truth until God instructs me to stop.
Cardinal Sarah is a spiritual martyr for our times and an example for all of us in speaking truth to power. The consequences for doing that here are generally bad personally but will be rewarded by God. This is why Donald McC does what he does and Mary De Voe does what she does. Our job is to speak the truth and live with the consequences. And pray that we are right and our listeners have an open mind.
How I wish I could return to naivete of the times when the cassock, the habit, the mitre and the staff simply meant truth, security, and steadfastness in being lead along the narrow path to eternal salvation!
Do I understqnd what I just read from Mary De Voe stating annulments granted in a confessional room from a priest as given permission from Pope Francis. Could the church not protest such degradation of the sacrament of penance and reconciliation. Does the Pope not have to answer to any authorities who may defend the truth and sacredness of the Church Jesus Christ gave us to be a holy and apostolic church. We must stand strong and oppose what God would expect from us. When the Catholic Church starts to lead souls to destructive ways against God, then I truly believe we are heading closer to the end times if don’t respond to correct what God would have us to do to preserve his Church until the end.
“spiritual martyr “- I have never heard that before Michael. Chilling.
Please God, strengthen us.
Look at who the Roman Pontiff made cardinals today. One of them was Cupich, who pulled the Bernardinesque seamless garment crap.
