August 22: Queenship of Mary

The King looked up, and what he saw
Was a great light like death,
For Our Lady stood on the standards rent,
As lonely and as innocent
As when between white walls she went
And the lilies of Nazareth.

One instant in a still light
He saw Our Lady then,
Her dress was soft as western sky,
And she was a queen most womanly—
But she was a queen of men.

Over the iron forest
He saw Our Lady stand,
Her eyes were sad withouten art,
And seven swords were in her heart—
But one was in her hand.

Then the last charge went blindly,
And all too lost for fear:
The Danes closed round, a roaring ring,
And twenty clubs rose o’er the King,
Four Danes hewed at him, halloing,
And Ogier of the Stone and Sling
Drove at him with a spear.

But the Danes were wild with laughter,
And the great spear swung wide,
The point stuck to a straggling tree,
And either host cried suddenly,
As Alfred leapt aside.

Short time had shaggy Ogier
To pull his lance in line—
He knew King Alfred’s axe on high,
He heard it rushing through the sky,

He cowered beneath it with a cry—
It split him to the spine:
And Alfred sprang over him dead,
And blew the battle sign.

Then bursting all and blasting
Came Christendom like death,
Kicked of such catapults of will,
The staves shiver, the barrels spill,
The waggons waver and crash and kill
The waggoners beneath.

Barriers go backwards, banners rend,
Great shields groan like a gong—
Horses like horns of nightmare
Neigh horribly and long.

Horses ramp high and rock and boil
And break their golden reins,
And slide on carnage clamorously,
Down where the bitter blood doth lie,
Where Ogier went on foot to die,
In the old way of the Danes.

“The high tide!” King Alfred cried.
“The high tide and the turn!
As a tide turns on the tall grey seas,
See how they waver in the trees,
How stray their spears, how knock their knees,
How wild their watchfires burn!

“The Mother of God goes over them,
Walking on wind and flame,
And the storm-cloud drifts from city and dale,
And the White Horse stamps in the White Horse Vale,
And we all shall yet drink Christian ale
In the village of our name.

“The Mother of God goes over them,
On dreadful cherubs borne;
And the psalm is roaring above the rune,
And the Cross goes over the sun and moon,
Endeth the battle of Ethandune
With the blowing of a horn.”

GK Chesterton, Ballad of the White Horse

Thank you Mother of God, our Lady and our Queen. You walk us by the hand each day, to serve your Son, if we allow it. Help us then dear Mother, to be molded into the image and likeness of your Son, so we welcome the opportunity to serve Him more and more in unity with your spouse the Holy Spirit.

For Our Queen.

On September 7th 2017, Fr. Libby blessed our property in honor of Our Lady via Jasna Gora.
The day marked my deceased mother’s 85th birthday. On September 8th, 1717, the formal crowning of the Black Madonna occured at Jasna Gora. The first time that the Vatican approved such a crowning outside of Rome.

The hill upon which we live has a statue of Our Lady and commemorates the victories Our Lady won for Poland.

She is being asked to help America in these days of strife.

Our Lady, Queen of Peace, please pray for us as we fast and pray for peace.

1700 Years
This year marks 1700 years since the First Council of Nicaea, an Ecumenical Council of Bishops gathered from throughout the entire Church. It was called in the year 325 by the Emperor Constantine, who legalized Christianity, in order to address the Arian crisis. Arius, a priest from Egypt, taught that the Son was created by the Father as a being like him, but not one with him. The bishops met at Nicaea from May 20th through August 25th and came to a nearly unanimous consensus on the teaching of Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition that had been handed down by the Church. The Son is one in being with the Father. He is eternally born of the Father of his very substance as his Son, Image, and Word. This truth is all important. Because the Son is one with the Father, when he became man, he could raise us up to his own divine life, making us a new creation. We become sons in the Son of the Father, sharing his own relationship with him.

[ from Exodus 90 ]

Sons of God.
Thank you Mary Immaculate.

And while praying, let’s also remember to mention the Christians, mostly Catholics, being murdered and otherwise persecuted on a wide scale in places like Sudan and Nigeria.

Mary’s Sacred Heart
When Jesus Christ, crucified, gave His Heart to His Mother Mary and within Christ’s Sacred Heart is every human being ever created from Adam until the end of time for Jesus loved and died for every one of us, Mary accepted her Son’s heart with every human being ever created, until the end of time.
Jesus then crucified before all ages, gave His Mother Mary into the keeping of the Bishop, Saint John the evangelist, who took Mary and her Sorrowful Heart with every human being ever created until the end of time into his care into his Catholic Church.
In Mary’s Miraculous Medal, all mankind is in Her Motherly Heart and protected by Mary’s sovereign personal space. Mary’s sovereign personal space is defined by the oval frame which can only be changed by Mary, Herself.
Only those studborn individuals who refuse the infinite and perfect love of God and choose their own selfishness remain outside the Catholic Church and the infinite, perfect love of Mary and God.
Thomas Jefferson called God “their Creator” in the Declaration of Independence. God is the giver to man of free will and reason or intellect.
God is the Creator of all from one instance to the next instance, that is, God keeps all things in existence from one instance to the next instance. God keeps man in existence from one instance to the next instance for all time.
Therefore, any fortune teller’s prediction, any horoscope, any Artificial Intelligence can and may change from one instance to the next instance according the will of God until the end of time.
Jesus said: “I will be with you until the end of time.” Christ is infinite and perfect love. Divine Providence is the Holy Spirit of God Who cannot deceive or be deceived.
Artificial Intelligence is a tool, like the encyclopedia or the Library of Congress or one’s personal computer.
To rely solely on AI is begging for calamity, disillusionment and despair.
G.K Chesterton’s poem is breathtaking.
