Hattip to Colonel West. The Kentucky All State choir give an impromptu rendition at the Hyatt Hotel in Louisville of The Star-Spangled Banner. This was done in the evening after a day of competition. Ah the energy and hope with which God graces youth!
Beautiful. Thanks for posting. Was this shot from the Heaven-cam??
From “Youth”, a short story, by Joseph Conrad: “I remember my youth and the feeling that will never come back anymore – the feeling that I could last forever, outlast the sea, the earth, and all men; the deceitful feeling that lures us on to joys, to perils, to love, to vain effort – to death; the triumphant conviction of strength, the heat of life in the handful of dust, the glow in the heart that with every year grows dim, grows cold, grows small, and expires – and expires, too soon, too soon – before life itself.”
Again! Thank You T. Shaw!
T. Shaw,
Joseph Conrad articulates so well what is probably happening to the glow in the hearts of many who experience widespread degeneration at the hands of oath taking degenerates.
I’m trying, sometimes desperately, to relate that glow to strength through faith, hope and love both from and for God in his loving kindness.
