I think many people *might* have been a trifle more sympathetic to her story (a big assumption, I know), but the cult of Moloch rose in such an in-your-face way in her defense that any potential sympathy was rendered impossible.
Another week and Fr Rupnik is still free to move about Rome. Have his accusers, the young Sisters, been allowed to testify yet?

My oldest pointed out that there is a fringe who believes there is a vast conspiracy and that her husband was actually the killer. Like he said, morally they occupy a much higher ground, because at least they believe she is innocent and that’s why they support her, kooky as they sound. As opposed to so many others. But much of this is also the growing ‘culpability by group intersectionality’ we’re seeing. It’s not if killing is wrong, but just who from which group is killing who from which group and why that matters.
As a father and a grandfather, I don’t have the emotional strength to even comment on this other than to say that some things are just evil regardless of the background or rationale under law.

I’m trying to imagine men rallying to support and defend a father who strangled his three children, and I just cannot see that ever happening. Truly, the cult of Moloch has driven feminism into a dark, perverse land of upside-down.
I favor the McNaughton rule enacted after the attempted assassination of Queen Victoria. Logical, common sense, served justice and a minimum of irrelevancies by attorneys.
Justice for the victims. Millstones for the killers. Children belong to God and to humankind

“Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven. Whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” No where and no how did Jesus ever give His Apostles the power to bind and loose in heaven. The Apostles were given power on earth, but not in heaven. For who can improve perfection? Who can change eternal truth Who is Jesus Christ?

ON HUMAN DIGNITY
Because humankind is made in the likeness of God with free will, reason, intellect and sovereign personhood and more, humankind has human dignity, human dignity that does not change or diminish, not ever.
Do we not venerate and cherish the relics of saints? The bone of the forearm of Saint Anne, the grandmother of Jesus Christ, the mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary is in Quebec, Canada. The blood of Saint Januarius reliquefies on his feast day. Frederick Barbarossa kidnapped the ashes of the Three Kings and got himself excommunicated. And Saint Cecelia incorrupt….
Relics of saints in heaven are our treasure on earth. The saints’ earthly bodies retain their human dignity in heaven and on earth.
The Pope’s recent exhortation about human dignity framed after the work of Germaine Grisez removed the responsibility for horrible crimes and the punishment; exactly the death penalty. In spite of the victims’ human dignity; by removing the acknowledgement of the victims’ human dignity is an atrocious oversight.
The condemned murderer executed by his own power of attorney, living and dead, has human dignity. Therefore, the human dignity of the condemned murderer may not be used to absolve the condemned murderer of his responsibility under the law of equal Justice for all.
In 2004, Public Law 108-447, Section 111 was passed requiring the teaching of the children in any public school receiving public funds their Constitution and their Bill of Rights. The Bill of Rights teaches self-defense.
Public schools receiving public funds or Federal funds must by law teach the United States Constitution or be denied any public or Federal funds.
The Department of Education must abide by this law or be dismantled. Any public servant refusing to live under our Law of the Land must be removed. Judges who do not know or respect our Constitution must be removed from the bench. Any elected official who refuses to legislate by our Constitution must be recalled.
Reprehensible soft porn and LGBT ideology has no place in public school receiving public funds. Defund this violation of our innocent children and parental rights. Remove the swindlers and cheats of our tax dollars.
