If you look at his proximate blood relations (1st, 2d, and 3d degree) who were older than he, you discover the longevity champion to date has been a paternal aunt who lived to be 82. His nominal sister lived to be 80 (he admitted in 2004 that the two had never met and he is unacknowledged in her obituary). Another paternal aunt lived to be 74. The longest lived male (bar him) was his nominal brother (whom he did meet a few times), who died in 2009 at age 70. He’s done a satisfactory job of keeping his weight down and he’s not known to have an issue with street drugs, alcohol, or tobacco. I’m going to wager the medical care he receives is more meticulous than you or I might receive. So far, his life span exceeds expectations by almost a decade.
