Evidence, if any is needed, that the Left in our time is absolutely bonkers.

Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 43 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.
Which is why they decided to change the name from gender identity disorder to gender dysphoria and remove it from the DSM in 2013. Which proves psychiatrists are bonkers too.
Also explains why the WNBA, literally the WOMEN’S National Basketball Association, can’t define what a woman is.
the end result of feminism isn’t just madness.. it’s no-women-just-little-men,, (or men who think they’re women)
It appears to be a private agency. If you don’t ply them with government grants, eventually they wither away in their own stupidity. If you read newspapers and magazines in 1975, you’d recognize the name of the president of the National Organization for Women in this country; The last one I can recall was the ACDC corporate lawyer who left her position when she was hired by the YWCA (who fired her six months later). A wag at the time noted that your job as the president of NOW is to be a professional complainer and the YWCA has real buildings and payrolls to meet.

The ‘trans’ phenomenon would wither away if (1) publicly financed insurance programs did not cover procedures; (2) insurance companies were not compelled by law to include coverage for it in employers’ plans or household plans; (3) corporations and practitioners were prosecuted for undertaking procedures on persons under 25 and persons placed under guardianships; and (4) malpractice was broadly defined in this area. If ever there was a case of supply generating its own demand, this was it.

As a matter of public policy, there were in 1920 some spot issues that might have been addressed over the years in re the position of women in marketplaces and public life. These would have included categorical exclusion of women from jury service, objectionable ratios of berths for women to berths for men in state higher education systems, admissions procedures in such institutions, mandatory discharge of married women in public employment and in companies which were natural monopolies, categorical exclusion of women from certain public sector positions without good cause (excluding women from the regular military has good cause), and categorical exclusion of women from collective bargaining units along with language in collective bargaining agreements which categorically injures women’s employment prospects. (As a general rule, recruitment and promotion in public employment and in private natural monopolies should be regulated by impersonal examinations). I think you’d have to scrounge to locate remarks by Betty Friedan or Gloria Steinem on any of these topics (in part because the practices dissipated after 1919 or were never very common).

Very little that feminist agitators took an interest in after 1960 was aught but unjust or imprudent. Creatures like Helen Gurley Brown were if anything worse.
While we’re at it, another piece of evidence that Amnesty International is an utterly fraudulent outfit:

Little of what the mental health trade do should be financed by insurance companies, much less the public treasury.
I believe Orwell had something to say about changing language meanings to meet the objectives of the totalitarian state.
