Attacking a politician for not having his nose in the trough is a new one on me, and I frequently disagreed with the late Senator Graham.

I agree— this Phil Kennedy person’s complaint that the late Senator Graham’s failure to line his pockets during his tenure demonstrates incompetence is a peculiar take. I think we all have a disturbing insight of how Phil would prioritize his own enrichment if he only had the chance to be a senator.
I often disagreed with things the late Senator Graham did, but the man was consistently pro-life— and in my book, that means a great deal. May he rest in peace.
It reminds me of a scene in “A Man for All Seasons” where they were looking for dirt on St Thomas. “All he has from his time in office is a gold chain.” Pretty good praise for Mr Graham.
Who’s Phil Kennedy in the first place?
The $1.74 million would be his salable assets. His principal asset would be his pension, which, AFAIK, he never collected. Not sure if he can designate his sister his heir in this respect.

The treatment at this time of Graham (a fairly standard issue Republican) by progtrash and palaeotrash is an indicator that the former regard all opposition as illegitimate and that among both the former and the latter there are people for whom high school never ends.
‘Phillip A Kennedy’ presents himself as an FBI agent fired by the Biden crew. His dispositions appear to be somewhere in the grey area separating palaeos and NeverTrumpers.

Same thing occurred to me Mike, along with the Duke of Norfolk saying of More, “He’s the first judge since Cato not to take bribes!”
What problem does this Phil person perceive? Standard retirement calculations suggest one should have 12X one’s top salary to retire at age 65. Graham’s was less than 10X at age 71.
“attacking a politician for not having his nose in the trough is a new one on me..”
me too. that has to be the dumbest speaking ill of the dead ever
this scene from the Hunt For Red October reminds me of Lindsey .. there is another scene where this same politician who after saving the day by allowing the American pursuit of the renegade sub to proceed -says to the Russian ambassador (who lost their attack sub seeking to destroy Red October).. “Vladimir, you mean you’ve lost ANOTHER submarine.. ” classic southern politician.
may Lindsey -Rest In Peace- almighty God is our Judge.
