From Justice Thomas’ 91 page dissent in the birth right case:
And, until recently, this Court continued to selectively en-
force our colorblind Constitution, including by allowing
state-coerced racial discrimination in public education, e.g.,
Grutter v. Bollinger, 539 U. S. 306 (2003), and compelling
States to draw political districts on the basis of race, e.g.,
Allen v. Milligan, 599 U. S. 1 (2023).
Meanwhile, the Court has repurposed the Fourteenth
Amendment to protect its own set of preferred rights that
the Reconstruction Congress never contemplated and that
cannot find support in its text. Today, the Court does so
again by recognizing a constitutional right to citizenship for
the children of all foreign birth tourists and illegal aliens.

I am not sure that today’s opinion will stand the test of
time. The Citizenship Clause “added greatly to the dignity
and glory of American citizenship.” Plessy, 163 U. S., at 555
(Harlan, J., dissenting). Today’s opinion devalues that cit-
izenship. I respectfully dissent.

Ann Coulter said it better than I could have.
If the Left brought back slavery as a Right they would call it Job Creation. [I read that somewhere on the net. Maybe a YouTube clip.]
Wordsmithing is a treasured art form that they use to twist and distort the truth. Reproductive healthcare. Killing another human being has nothing to do with reproducing nor healthcare.
Legal genocide. Protected homicide. Reproductive healthcare. Which one’s are closer to the truth?
“What is Truth?”
~Pontius Pilate
The Left will never be able to clean the blood off their hands.
this cheapens American citizenship
And the contest for the most disappointing GOP appointment to SCOTUS in history gets clearer. Ms. Barrett is now well in the lead. I wonder if she has the same handlers as Roberts? I’m only half kidding.
I dunno Frank, I think you might just be jaded as to how bad Roberts has been. He did, after all, have a pretty big head start before she came along.
Amy Barrett is the GOP’s affirmative action choice and we are reaping the “benefits” of this decision. Now she is obviously more qualified than Jackson was, but when she was being considered the right was explicit about how pleased they were to have a woman in particular and its hard to say that there were not more experienced and reliable candidates.
She doesn’t share the whole blame of course; Roberts is obviously a disaster and Kavanaugh has been flaky. But she was the bad appointment that could have been most easily avoided.
Even though Clarence Thomas was in the minority this time, his well stated dissent will, no doubt, form the basis of overturning this bad decision someday.
Those, led by Senator Biden, who attempted the “high tech lynching” at the 1991 Senate confirmation hearings, would have tried ten times harder if they could have seen 35 years into the future.
The lynching failed. Justice Thomas has become their worst nightmare.
Thank God.
American citizenship is centered in living our Constitution, nothing less. Children born are born into the citizenship of their parents, proven as asylum seekers, not invaders, illegal invaders.
