Go here to read the article. The approach to governing the Church of Francis and his successor reminds me of the approach to secular government of one of Napoleon’s Marshals. Upon arriving in a foreign conquered city he announced to the populace that they were free now, but that they shouldn’t let it go to their heads. If they made one move without his permission, he would have them shot.

Pope Bob will prove worse than his predecessor because unlike his predecessor, he’s very smart and he can keep his anger under control. Remember: this is the man who marched with Italian communists in the 1980s against his own country, so don’t be surprised that he acts like a communist.
LQC.
Many believers forget one very real element of God’s Holy Church.
He, not the wicked actors, is in control.
Things are playing out not as we wish them to be but as they are. The valuable vantage point isn’t from the valley but its from on High.
Our part?
Well, some have more influences upon others than most so they are to use them accordingly.
All are to pray.
And the future priests and religious?
Ah…. that’s the ray of heavenly light that will help to dissolve the stain on Our Mother’s Mantle.
Bad actors come and go……but the play continues until the curtain drops.
Rejoice!
Jesus conquered the world!
lots of angst over the upcoming SSPX ordinations in publications.. rivers of ink (electrons).. lots of “experts” weighing on what’s in actuality a.. very.. simple.. question..
synodal or Apostolic
?
& what’s really odd is the synodal arguments are Apostolic when convenient.
Dialogue?
Philip Nachazel is correct.
I’m beginning to think Francis was a trial balloon … They’ve ironed out a lot of those wrinkles this go ’round.
Philip, God may be King of the Universe, but “… He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust” … The bad actors are not being controlled by God, they have free will to do as they please … And it is their pleasure to ignore the instruction of their Lord and abuse the servants before He returns.
Cag. I understand.
Leaving the weeds in longer could result in a conversion of weed to wheat. (?)
Matthew 13:24-43
Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition
The Parable of the Weeds
24 Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25 But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. 26 When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.
27 “The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’
28 “‘An enemy did this,’ he replied.
“The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’
29 “‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’”
Free will is His gift to us ..and to himself, when weeds wake up and smell the…coff..nah, incense.
The cardinal whine “we can’t speak…”
Speak anyway, if something needs to be said.
You fear to speak? Silence will not save you – St. Thomas More can tell you that.
And what do you lose by the mortal sin of speaking out of turn? At worst, removal from office and loss of pension. The apostles (whose successors you are) received torture- and slow death.
Most of you have no idea how warmly you would be received by the sheep if you actually shepherded them and fought the wolves – even if you lost.
