It is to be thanked that Francis, apparently, was so unpleasant to deal with, else he might have been more effective in transforming the Church into a Leftist NGO.

Didn’t have to Pinky. Francis the Worst’s screaming fits and bad temper were legendary around the Vatican, along with his public scoldings of Cardinals. He would have been far more effective (shudder) if he hadn’t been such a kidney stone of a man.
To put it bluntly, I think Jorge B hurt the Church and led 10000s of the faithful astray. I published several articles on varioussites explaining how his Heresies, lumped together as “Bergolianism,” were the worst heresies in all of church history-because of their outright denial of dogmas and the fact that they affected more of the faithful – by number – than any other heresy. So when he died I realized what my immediate emotional reaction was – and I didnt like what I saw in myself. So…. I daily have said by name many dear to me who have died who might be in purgatory, and I made myself add “Jorge B” to that list. Wouldnt it be ironic in future if he is in glory and INTERCEDES for me? Guy, Texas
True, the Cardinal was a true Prince of the Church, and his words were most gracious, even towards Francis – Which is why his comments about opening old post-Conciliar wounds stand out so glaringly. It’s something we all noticed, and no doubt Ruini wasn’t the only Bishop to think it. Imagine if he had possessed the fortitude to speak it. What a welcomed breath of fresh air that would’ve been!
I agree with your opinion on Pope Francis, Mr. McC. He did the Church no favors nor did he serve it well – particularly in comparison with St. John Paul and Pope Benedict, and now, Pope Leo. “Making a mess” in the Church seems to have been his specialty, and not to his credit. We do not need more confusion – we need strong, clear, and faithful spiritual leadership in the face of modern culture and the rampant, never-ending attacks of Satan.
