LeoWatch: Pope Bob Abolishes War

A gift to every tyrant in the world.  Francis knew what he was getting when he made Prevost a Cardinal.  War is often a symptom of evil rather than the evil itself.

The TL:DR version is: we are so much smarter than our ignorant war-mongering ancestors.

Never thought I’d read Popes succumb to the disease of presentism. But here we are…

(as we try too move towards the full acceptance of homosexuality…) the church cannot simply repeat formulas developed in other historical contexts…

Just in time for Memorial Day. Good grief!

The Pope deliberately released this statement on Memorial Day. He has hated his own country since he protested with Italian communists in the early 1980s against Ronald Reagan’s response to the Soviet installation of SS-20 intermediate range nuclear armed ballistic missiles in Eastern Europe. He never protested against the communist aggression that necessitated Reagan to order the installation of Pershing missiles as a deterrent in Western Europe. Like his predecessor, that heretical Marxist Peronist Caudillo, he is a vindictive and petty man of low moral character completely unworthy of the sacred office to which he has been elected.

I’m sure his friends in the CCP will read this and immediately commence to beating their swords into plowshares! Yippee!!

The concept of a just war theory is now obsolete? … Self-defense will continue to be just and necessary until the Parousia. Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus and make this Pope obsolete!

“The Pope deliberately released this statement on Memorial Day. “

LQC,
me thinks not … exactly…
The Francis Machine released this statement purposely on Memorial Day.
Pope Bob dutifully read-

I think we’re looking at a puppet papacy whose only purpose is to softly cement the ideas of the heretic Bergoglio.
Neither Francis nor Leo were/are wedded to Christ, but they’re different. Bold words I know, but It is what It is.

David WS, you may be correct. Nevertheless, I despised the former Pope and I despise the current one. Period.

The whole thing is terrible.

The tone is set by the 10th paragraph, launching into a synodalese-littered run-on sentence: “Rebuilding today means recognizing that, precisely from the plurality of voices and visions which, even though they sometimes remind us of the confusion caused by the diversity of spoken languages, a bright possibility emerges. Indeed, this is the possibility of building together, of transforming diversity into a resource and of making listening and dialogue the common ground upon which to cultivate justice and fraternity.”

Gobbledygook.

JFK: the popular word among politics seems to be “word salad”—at one time we called it “psychobabble.”

Well, I made it in the Catholic Church for over a decade. I will not remain under the leadership of a pope who has clearly stated that God does not hear my prayers because of my views on military conflict.

2 Timothy 4:3
Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition;
3 For there shall be a time, when they will not endure sound doctrine; but, according to their own desires, they will heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears:

War? A war?

Yes. There’s a war of wills. God’s and The Lavender Mafias.

In the end, only one will be the in one supported and honored. The other “will” cannot be honored because it’s not from God. STOP the teachings that oppose God’s Will! Please.

If you don’t know the difference, you do not know the Gospels.

lavender mafia… that dammed cabal..

a man who is homosexual gives up nothing in becoming a priest, not wife or children… nothing.. and as such he should be barred from becoming a priest.. as absent is his sacrifice is so too is his spiritual fatherhood absent.

David WS.

Good point.
We have a long way to go, but I’m hopeful that those with the attraction do not, on their own accord, pursue an ordained office, but even more naive is the idea that any Bishop would encourage them to enter the office.

Again…

It’s only a hope. Not realistic in this day and age.

As Eugene Sledge said, war is brutish and a terrible waste. I don’t think any intelligent person of goodwill would disagree. But what never gets addressed by the Church hierarchy, in all their hand wringing, is the very evil that makes war necessary.

I believe that, going forward I’ll be ignoring Francis II’s writings. After all, I’ve made it this far without having read Clement XIV’s encyclical Decet Quam Maxime, and I’m no worse for wear. In fact, I think ignoring all of Francis II’s bloviations is probably to my spiritual benefit, sad to say.

I’ll reconsider when/if he rescinds the grotesque, unjust and bigoted Traditiones Custodes. Until then, I’m just not interested.

Pope Leo eradicated the Sacred Scripture that promises the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse: Death, war, famine and pestilence. Stalin caused an artificial famine that took 30.000.000 lives in the Ukraine.

He actually inadvertently did us all a favor! By opening up the criteria of the traditional just war theory, he opens it up. period! Traditionally, a preventive war was not countenanced. That is clearly now archaic. He has opened the door to reinterpretations of the theory in light of modern high speed instant Technology. He did it to the left. Now the right can too!

Clerics, particularly those in Rome, are the biggest impediment to Catholic conversion.

LKL-

When I converted from militant agnosticism, some Catholics asked if then pope JP II had anything to do with it.

The first time, it floored me. I had never considered who the pope was. He is and was – transitory.

I considered who Christ is and evermore shall be. I was given the grace to believe His words are true. No one in Rome was very much involved in the process 😉
