He’d check with China. They might be upset that he’s beatifying people murdered by marxists.
Duh.
pope-explainers will make much of this action.. meanwhile the Francis machine churns with Leo presiding.. and this is excellent cover..
Minor complaint. I am not in favor of class action beatification. I understand the Feast of the Holy Innocents. We do not know their names.
On the contrary, each of these 80 martyrs have names and should be given their martyr crown under their own names, not that of their nation or adversary. They died for Christ, not nation or oppressor. If they did not, they are not martyrs, though still likely heroes.
When we appear at the Particular (ahem, individual) Judgement, we will be accused individually. W must ask for Christ’s pardon individually, for we each have sinned, individually.
Well deserved and a suitable, if bit late, response to those on the left that prefer to ignore such tragedies in pursuit of their “greater good.”
It is amazing to me what has become of Spain and Ireland.
Poland has not (yet) fallen to the same malady. There are forces at work to make that happen…but they haven’t been successful.
