I love the conversion story of The Grinch. It’s becoming Christmas tradition for me to wear my Grinch pajamas and use my Grinch coffee cup on Christmas morning. First with my daughters then with my grandsons. It is a little odd to show up to the blended family dinners in pajamas, but have to keep the Traditions going.
Karloff was always good with children. He was my favorite actor when I was a child. He still is today.
In a similar way, despite all of his occult / horror movies, Christopher Lee was absolute about the reality and danger of the real occult. He was interviewed on it several times, warning people to stay away from the real thing.
He also said in an interview that he read Lord of the Rings *every year* – how cool!

This story reminds me of so many individuals whose extraordinary achievements I only found out afterwards by attending the wake after their funeral and talking with close mutual friends.
I knew they were wonderful people, but I only knew half the story. If even that.
Thank goodness the iron lung is a thing of the past. I still meet people who had polio . Boris Karloff who knew. What a great guy
