The Child is Father to the Man

Ike looks like the All-American boy.  Hitler and Stalin are snot nosed troublemakers.  Hirohito seems very distant.  Getulio was twice President of Brazil and he was in charge of Brazil during World War II.  Mussolini appears to be practicing his future disdainful strong man pose.  De Gaulle’s big ears are already evident.  Churchill is the young English bulldog.  Roosevelt’s father was in ill health, an invalid, he was 51 when Franklin was born,  and Franklin was fiercely protective of him, which is reflected in  his already care worn face.
