I have it on the Highest Authority that there will always be wars and rumors of war. That war is an evil few would dispute. That it is the greatest evil History refutes.

Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 43 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.
I’ve been a government negotiator for 35 years. Dialogue, leading to a negotiated agreement, is only possible when the respective parties have an overlapping interest (the zone where an agreement is made) and where the parties are willing to bargain in good faith. Those preconditions appear to be missing with Iran. Absent those pre-conditions Trump needs to continue the blockade, or return to combat, in order to force an Iranian regime surrender.
Keep in mind that the late Venerable Archbishop Fulton Sheen drew a distiction between being peaceful and what Jesus called being a peacemaker (blessed are the peacemakers). Peacemaking Sheen wrote may require military action to achieve.
