I am so glad the President is alright— for his sake, for his family’s sake, and for this country’s sake.
This madness has to stop.
This madness will not stop till the Democrats stop their incendiary rhetoric, and the Pope and his clerics stop their passive aggressive insinuations and innuendos. They all want Trump dead.
Seventy-two hour rule and all.

From preliminary reports, my roulette wager would be on the numbers which correspond to ‘schizophreniform episode in the last nine years’ and ‘history with psychotropics’.

People like this guy are in the tail of the bell curve. Median attitudes on the left have shifted enough that the number in the tail have increased by a considerable factor. By way of example, I’m active on one site that has a mixed commenter crew. When Mr. Kirk was murdered, most of the resident leftoids were silent. The non-silent ones made excuses for Tyler Robinson.
Will any of us hear a prayer of thanksgiving at Mass that no lives were lost in this event?
Why not?
I’m pretty sure we would have the Sunday after TR was shot. Maybe some of you heard such a prayer when Reagan was shot. (Dunno – I wasn’t in church then.)
We will, at best, hear some mealy mouthed, threadbare prayer of the faithful about an “end to violence” (as if that’s going to happen before Christ returns)
Why are the pews empty? Because they ignore the Real Presence and real things and instead prattle on with fluff and nonsense.
Worth repeating, imo;
***Why are the pews empty? Because they ignore the Real Presence and real things and instead prattle on with fluff and nonsense.***
Amen.
Not wishing to sound melodramatic however this gunman makes his way in and I thank God that he wasn’t a suicide bomber.
His manifesto sounds like a common FB post.
The super genius who put together a must fail plan. The Wile E. Coyote of would be Presidential assassins.
It’s more an explanation of his conduct than a ‘manifesto’. His comments on the President are unremarkable for street-level Democrats these days. (And quite fanciful).
Prediction: within two years someone will bring this up on a news program as an example of left wing violence. The host will say “I don’t know if we can ever be sure about the political motivations of that attack, unlike the Gabby Giffords shooting. Now let’s spend the rest of the program discussing the Gabby Giffords shooting.”
As I read this screed, the first thought that comes to mind is that he is such an ethical would-be assassin, excusing the murder in his heart by pointing out all of the people he didn’t target. So polite of him. That surely makes it okay. Because there were only SOME people he wanted to murder. Most of the people were people he didn’t want to murder. Unless he had to. Then, it would be okay as well because… he had to.
Philip is right … And every Iranian terrorist who strolled across the border during the Biden administration (receiving a gift card, a free phone and a voter’s registration) has noticed how far this wacko got and is calculating the size of the vest they’ll need.
