Notice how the left uses the term Social Doctrine when they think it says what they want it to say, and the term Social Teaching when it doesn’t … So, no doubt when discussing the principles of solidarity, subsidiarity and private property, he’d refer to the Social Teaching of the Church.
What a godless government considers to be the common good, and what God would consider to be the common good rarely have anything in common.
Dontcha know the Church has no history of note between the Sermon on the Mount and V2?
Weak dishonest theology rules our day. It is likely damning many that are too lazy not to use even the devices on which we are reading to debunk the lavender lies of the Church of “Buddy Jesus”.

The post-concular church had been trying to outsource its charity work for years. Getting the govt to do it absolves them of the results and the guilt for not acting themselves.
