Seriously thinking of attending, I’m awaiting how much it would cost, think I can get someone there to house me for free. Expecting Church liberals to go gunning for Archbishop Sheen now that it’s official. I can hear it now: he’s too conservative, out of date, no one but crazy trads listen to him, and heaven forbid, at all costs! do not read what he wrote about liberalism and communism, you might have to change your mind if you do.

Praise the Lord. I used to listen to his radio broadcasts in the late 1950’s when I was with the Redemptorists testing a vocation. Certainly one of the world’s greatest bishops from the 20th. century.

I also benefited greatly from his Life is Worth Living series.

The Dome at America’s Center in St Louis, which has 82,000 seats and hosted a papal Mass with JPII in 1999, is the closest venue that can.
