The witches brew is the default reaction of a certain bourgeois type in the occidental world. What the Pope is telling you (and outfits like the USCCB) is that the difference in the mentality between clergy and school administrators is minimal.

There’s no empathy to it at all. You talk to leftoids who fancy mass immigration, you realize (1) they have no clue why levels of prosperity vary from one society to another, (2) they fancy themselves tribunes of ‘the vulnerable’ and favor the interests of foreigners over the interests of Americans, (3) they do not think two steps ahead and only react to things which fit their emotional template; (4) they know nothing about the political, economic, and social life of Latin America; (5) they actually fancy randos from abroad are more productive than ordinary people in the society in which they live; (6) they despise those ordinary people and wish to injure them in various ways.
