More reason to ignore the Olympics, except for ice hockey.

On a lighter note, Italy put together a women’s hockey team made up of players from around the world who had Italian ancestry and they actually did a good job.

Penguin: I had a student of Greek-American ancestry who played softball for the Greek Olympic team. She later went to Ole Miss and won an SEC award for top performance as a freshmen.

Will she, at some point, wonder how much her actions extended the life of a truly reprehensible government?

Even if she one day determines that her assistance extended Communist China by just days, how many atrocities will occur because of those added days?

Influence and visibility are a heavy responsibility. Maybe I should be more grateful that I have very little of either!

Remember, these types of academics are the same people who will say that an illegal immigrant, born elsewhere and only here to extract resources for his relatives in his home country, must be considered just as “American” as anyone born here.
