There it is again! Russian disinformation! The real kind this time. Commies are remarkably consistent
Perhaps it was a small light in a small corner of the world, but when I was born in 1947 my humble and devout Catholic parents announced that my middle name would be Eugene in honor of Pope Pius XII. I have always considered this a unique and special blessing in my life. I believe he rests now in the eternal presence of Our Lord and pray that he will intercede for us who are called to live through our troubled times.
Individual rabbis have acknowledged the efforts of Pius XXII in saving the lives of a large number of Jews, both in Italy and other occupied areas. It is past time for the Israeli government (minus its socialist members) to also acknowledge this fact.
I wish I could picture a pope saying this and meaning it.
Pope Pius XII was the most unsung hero of WWII. Greatest Pope of the 20th Century in my opinion. That his cause for canonization is stalled is a travesty of justice!
Righteous Gentiles
Recognized by Yad Vashem, these individuals acted without expecting financial gain or reward, risking their lives to rescue Jews from persecution by the Nazis.
Pope Pius XII was named a Righteous Gentile.
He also gave his resignation to his secretary in case he was kidnapped by the Nazis. The Nazis would only get Eugenio Pacelli
from Google,
Gary Krupp’s Pave the Way Foundation. Krupp defends the Church and the Pope during the Nazi occupation.
Of course, everything everyone here said is true … But I have often thought: If these were German tanks, and that man was wearing a white cassock, imagine the conversions to the faith!
