My Bride and I picked up yesterday two twelve week old kittens, Salem and Brooke, sisters, from a shelter. Salem is shown asleep on my Bride’s computer desk. Salem is adventurous and was climbing all over us once we got home. Her sister Brooke is more cautious, hiding initially in our coat closet. She has since been following cautiously the lead of Salem.
No doubt any mice in McClarey Manor have been celebrating with chants of “The Cid is dead!” since Mr. Chance went to Mouser Heaven last month. Soon they will be learning that their celebration was a tad premature.
Congratulations.
Our Sarah, black short hair, passed away in April.
We haven’t adopted a replacement…yet.
Enjoy your new “furries.”
Pleased to hear of them.

Congratulations! Monday was not only the birthday of my mom, Marcella (RIP, she would have been 100) and Teddy Roosevelt, but it was also National Black Cat Day. We have a black cat, Jade. Here, EVERY day is black cat day. Having one also entitles you to answer your phone with, “Panther Headquarters, how can I help you?”
El Cid, se murio 💔
Viva la reconquista con Salem y Brooke! 🇪🇸
Nothing so peaceful as a sleeping cat.
She is so beautiful! Before you know it she snd her sister will be chasing and wrassiling each other, getting 3 am zoomies, staring randomly at bugs or pieces of lint you can’t see, etc. 🙂
I can attest that the zooming and the wrestling is well under way!
Salem is a good name for a black cat.
Our black cat was named Stephanie. She cavorted with a live skunk. Perhaps two cats might have prevented her cavorting with a skunk.
