Meanwhile, Greta Thunberg paddles towards it.
Ezabelle:
“Meanwhile, Greta Thunberg paddles towards it.”
Does Greta Thunberg think at all?
Follow the money. Your money leaving you.
Socialists like to tell you that socialism is Christian Charity, but they lie.
Sweden should deport her to Gaza.
The mob clamoring for socialism seems unwilling to earn, but more than willing to riot. Rioting seems more difficult to me, so I guess I can’t attribute their preferences to laziness.
“Socialists like to tell you that socialism is Christian Charity, but they lie.”
If charity was like socialism, God would force the money out of our pockets. Charity requires our cooperation, therefore it is not the same.
It has been said that it is better to give than to receive. Theologically speaking, it does do more for the soul to give, especially to give for the sake of God’s will.
Socialism does not work for the benefit of all. It never has and never will. A free market economy has its faults and some of those faults can be mitigated, but not eliminated.
This is reason and reason does not work with the unreasonable.
There is an interesting opinion piece in RedState today about Venezuela. Starting with Hugo Chavez in 1998 and continuing to today, Venezuela has been in the clutches of left wing tyranny.
Venezuela was more prosperous than Italy in 1950.
Trump is a very anti war president and I am not advocating war. The thing is, Maduro, a left wing moron, controls the country. He has to go.
Maduro has received help from Gustavo Petro, a former M 19 terrorist who is the Colombian president…for about one more year. Petro is a virtual Communist running the government of a country that really despises the far Left.
It would be a wonderful day to see the Left out of power in Latin America. The Communists in Cuba would not last three days against the US military and I would contrnd that since Putin disregarded the treaty ensuring Russia would respect Ukraine’s borders, JFK’s vow to not invade Cuba is null and void.
Between Venezuela and Cuba, the enemies of the US have been allowed a toehold in the Western Hemisphere. Add the Mexican cartels to it and there are some real enemies here.
Maduro, the Cuban Communists and Ortega deserve treatment like Noreiga.

Venezuela’s domestic product per capita surpassed Italy’s during the period running from 1943 to 1970, not before or after. Italy suffered considerable damage to their physical and human capital during the war and Venezuela began earning large sums from fuel and mineral exports. Their ‘prosperity’ was a mirage, and one from which they never truly recovered. Hence the stew of confusion which provided an electoral base for the likes of Chavez.
Some years back when I was still on Facebook (mea culpa) there was a semi-viral article floating around by some “Christian” lady titled something like “Why I call myself a Socialist.” Within the rambling word salad she manages to basically come up with the premise that she likes socialism because she thinks it’s important to care for people. Absent were any actual definitions of the thing itself, but rather emotions masquerading as arguments.
I remember being struck by how empty and vacuous it was in not even being able to pinpoint tangible things about socialism it might think are good (to be fair, there are none) but rather just a vague set of feels clothed in platitudes with a Christian veneer to cover over the underlying envy that forms the foundation of the ideology. Insidious midwit slop for populations raised on envy, and thus sadly increasingly persuasive, given the absence of strong and determined leadership within the west at all levels.
But by the envy of the devil, death came into the world: And they follow him that are of his side. Wisdom 2:24-25
