Yes Sydney Sweeney is much more photogenic and wears her jeans well. People are jealous. Hitler wouldn’t be caught dead in such casual attire. Too uptight and angry.

Speaking of genes, Stalin daughter and granddaughter were two apples that fell far away from the tree. Svetlana, Stalin daughter, married an American Architect who was a protege of Frank Lloyd Wright! And the granddaughter is well…punk.

A completely fascinating account of both of their lives.

“Jeans were invented on May 20, 1873, when Levi Strauss and Jacob Davis received a patent for the process of adding rivets to denim pants.… -originally invented as durable workwear for laborers…. they were designed to withstand tough conditions, making them ideal for miners, farmers, and other workers who needed sturdy clothing.“

No other clothing has had to endure the same gross cultural appropriation as “jeans”.
And no one knows who’s daughter, miner or farmer, first tried on her fathers’ jeans… but we know and know for certain… that it happened.

“And no one knows who’s daughter, miner or farmer, first tried on her fathers’ jeans”

I read that jeans made their way into the mainstream by first being worn as a protest against the establishment and solidarity with the ordinary working man. The youth on university campuses and the like adopted them as a form of rebellion. They made their way into movies and then the trend just stuck.

Levi Strauss co. came up with a gimmick “Dude Ranch Duds” that were jeans marketed towards middle/upper-middle/upper class consumer who wanted the relaxed style, even though they had no need for such a resilient fabric.

The worn “denim” is said to come from de Nimes, a town in France that made a really coarsely thickly woven blue fabric.

I first wore jeans as a little kid in New Mexico. Wore them hiking and camping with my parents, and to go riding with my Daddy in his Willys Army surplus Jeep. Some days, thinking back on that last, I consider it a miracle that I survived. No roof. No sides. No doors. No seat belts. And every dirt road over any terrain was a challenge to him.

When I was a kid, we called them dungarees.

So, make an ad saying, “I have good dungarees.”

Who is going to sell the most?
