Most of my generation (b.1958) held England and the UK in high regard, were by definition Anglophiles. I loved British history and read continue to read English history, always dreaming of going to England, especially London. Not anymore, it’s very sad what has happened over there, I consider it an Islamic country now.

Agreed, Matthew. I’m just 4 years older than you are, and we all felt the same way about the Brits. My visit to London in 1975 was a dream realized. But the chances of my ever seeing it again are slim and none. So sad, because it was intentional on the part of the WEF types who have run the show since WW2

Sentence should read: I loved British history and continue to read about English history…

Early morning confusion of the elderly!

The UK’s attempts to regulate our free speech haven’t stopped. UK’s media regulator Ofcom has threatened huge fines against US companies not doing business in the UK that don’t comply with the UK “Online safety act.”(And yes that dystopian name should be translated “Just shut up”) It is the height of British arrogance that they think they can regulate a US company doing business in the US for violating censorship rules in the UK. V for Vendetta in real life.

The way things are headed, sites are just going to IP ban the entirety of the British Isles rather than deal with English officials.

That does mean that we’ll lose some quality British voices (at least those not smart enough to know how to get around such things) but we’ll also lose the more numerous British posters who are all too eager to act as free jannies for their police state.

And we can thank 2A for that!

It is the height of arrogance that any country across the pond can regulate American free speech. Try and stop us. Please.
