Brian Burch Confirmed as Ambassador to the Holy See
- Donald R. McClarey
Donald R. McClarey
Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 43 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.

My sources in Chicagoland tell me there were sermons preached against Mr. Burch in a number of churches in the Archdiocese of Cupich over the past couple of weeks. If true, no surprise. It’s well known that both of Chicago’s Senators* actively campaigned against him. Could be amusing down the road.
*- For non-Illinoisians: As with all large blue states, Illinois Senate candidates are elected by the four counties of metro Chicago, with a little help (though not much is needed) from Rockford, Peoria, and Madison and St. Clair counties. The rest of the state is just a tax cow for the Metros and their Democrat overlords, and nearly every other downstate county is red, many by wide margins. These counties have no representation in the U.S. Senate.
Even the “Catholic” dems voted against him. Seems like a version of small disappointed children now populate the opposition party.
Durbin is a nauseating hypocrite….in other words, a typical Democrat.
So I looked this woman up (because I noticed a Christian Lebanese surname)….Jeanne Shaheen husband is Bill Shaheen – a Maronite Catholic (attorney and judge) who according to articles, the Shaheens attend a Maronite Christian church in Dover, NH. Jeanne Shaheen is interrogating Burch about how he can “defend” US Aide Policy’s, which according to her, all oppose the Vatican’s stance on…everything. She openly said in that clip that Burch claiming that the US was funding transgender mice research was not true. How does she know? Why would he say that if it wasn’t true, and how can she refute that before he finished his sentence..?
I’m scratching my head to understand how this woman, who claims to actively attend a MaroniteCatholic Church, can be so openly hostile to a father of 9 Catholic appointee. Is she just anti-conservative by default? I’d have more respect for the left if they actually stood for what they claim to stand for (allegedly “rights for all”) and stopped being antagonistic sheep. It’s boring.
Correct me if I’m wrong but her voting record is pro-abortion (including helping babies born alive after a botched abortion – which is horrific) and she supports same-sex “marriage”. I don’t know how she doesn’t get flack for her political voting record at the Maronite Church she is supposed to attend?
No pro-abortion Democrat is Catholic, since they have excommunicated themselves. Killing innocent children is evil.
Many prayers for Pope Leo XIV, the Church and Mr. Burch.
