As regular readers of this blog know, I am no fan of conspiracy theories. However, the current attempt by the Trump DOJ and the Trump FBI to double down on the fictions that Epstein killed himself and that there is no evidence that Epstein was blackmailing the many high profile men who were guests at his pedo isle, and that he did not maintain lists of these high profile men and their visits, is an insult to our intelligence.
The Babylon Bee predicted this back on January 2, 2024:

A new Heaven and earth will come about, where Mercy and Justice are embraced and glorified forever. God keeps all of His promises. We just keep moving forward in His graces and try hard to bring others along.
Didn’t Jesus say that He has; “overcome” the world? I place my trust in Him.
Why is this happening? Is Donald Trump on this often reported but never revealed Epstein list? Yes, Trump was a womanizer. No, I don’t fault him for that because of my less than moral submarine sailor days. But none of this makes any sense unless there is real dirt on Trump. Yes, I am grateful that Trump is President and he’s doing a fantastic job. But we all got to face our wrongdoings. I am very sad and confused about all this.

My wager would be that FBI employees destroyed incriminating material and Patel and Bonigno are at a loss as to what to do about it.
Maybe we can get the Warren Commission to investigate?

Not a chance. The Biden a/k/a Puppet Administration would have used it against him if he were. That of course only deepens the mystery why his administration is walking away from the Epstein investigation.

I’ve often said that sometimes it takes more credulity to disbelieve a conspiracy theory than believe in one. This would be one of those cases.
We need to check the trajectory of that rope. And anyone that doesn’t believe in the deep state is part of it period

I must be one the sheepeople because I couldn’t care less what’s on these files, or about Epstein for that matter. People in power are corrupt and do evil things? No way! In other words: as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be, until the end of time. I don’t care about this thing at all.
Option A – powerful people are keeping this list under wraps.
Option B – if released the list would embarrass the United States.
Option C – if released the blackmail would end and perhaps compromise national security.
I’m going with option C. There’s something there that caused independent vocal people to be silent. Not saying it’s right.
I have heard its validity attacked, although it accurately recites what the Feds are doing. It is not signed or dated which is highly unusual. Perhaps the product of a whistle blower?
Virginia Guifree, the only person to attempt to force transparency into Epsteins operation, spiralled out of control, to the point where she lost her children and her life. They went after her to the point of madness. I believe Maxwell is constantly watching her back in Prison. There is no way the “list” will be made public if it’s still around. And not just because Trump maybe on it or not. This is bigger than Trump.
Matthew, I’m pretty much where you are about this. I care about it only in that I hate any injustice, and the island activities were a particularly gross kind of injustice.
Reminds me of the Solzhenitsyn comments about the Russian administration, the populace and lying. The end result will be complete distrust but few will care.
I believe the document and press releases say “we didn’t find it” NOT it doesn’t exist.
There are lots of reasons not to find something like this:
* It was destroyed or stolen
* It has been moved out of the possession of the FBI to either a private person or other Executive agency
* The searchers turned Nelson’s blind eye to it during the search
Why, as always, is the crucial and most difficult question.
Certain aspects make sense:
Claims by Tucker Carlsen that Epstein was acting in conjunction with intel agencies to create and keep incriminating evidence about high profile individuals is actually one theory that makes sense. Blackmail is a strong tool for intel agencies.
Files going missing. Deliberately. Trump administration at odds what to say to the public.
Or…
Files kept suppressed because of who is on those files. Trump has decided it in the best interest of whoever is on there. An alley..
Pam Bondi didn’t say in that press conference, definitively, that Epstein killed himself. She said all the evidence she has points to Epstein killing himself. Basically she is saying she has no way to prove otherwise without a doubt. If someone killed him, they covered it meticulously.
The fact that certain section of the media want to throw mud at Trump and implicate him reeks of desperation. Trump is a womaniser. He is not a paedophile and he is not a limp-wristed creep who gets thrills from sleeping with sex-trafficked women. His ego is too big and his pride won’t let him. I’ll believe otherwise when I see it.
If you read about the demise of Virginia Guifree you will know that if they weren’t going to get to her openly and publicly, they were going to hunt her down slowly and painfully to her grave. I truly feel very sorry for her.
