Burn of the Day

Donald R. McClarey
Cradle Catholic. Active in the pro-life movement since 1973. Father of three, one in Heaven, and happily married for 43 years. Small town lawyer and amateur historian. Former president of the board of directors of the local crisis pregnancy center for a decade.
That man is either completely naive or totally obtuse, with no grey area.
It’s similar like the example I give to my students – if person A wants person B dead and person B wants to stay alive, there’s not exactly any room for negotiation. This is just that example on a geopolitical level.
Um – Who created Hamas and Hezbollah and funds them…
It’s a remarkably contrived eruption from his imagination. The man is the issue of Columbia University employed by the Carnegie Endowment, with peripheral appointments at Princeton and Catholic University. He’s supposedly a scholar of ‘grand strategy’. Time in the military = 0. Evident instruction in technology = 0. I’m wagering he’s from the same stable which produced Gabriel Kolko. IMO, academe produces fewer and fewer scholars and more and more people who write shoddy lawyers’ briefs.
Ask Jimmy Carter how well diplomacy worked.
Whoa. Hold up there. He is *right*
Diplomacy has worked out very well for Iran. At least half the time, the West has left it alone to plot its destruction. They have also managed to convince many that Israel is the bad neighbor. Diplomacy has gotten Iran to the very doorstep of becoming a nuclear power. I’m sure there are other counties, better countries, that want the bomb but did not have the lying, cheating, sabre rattling, victim playing ability to make the West let them do it.
“The police raided the psychotic bomb maker because they were afraid of diplomacy….”
“The bomb maker had parts but was still a long way from building a bomb when the police raided. The police were too aggressive.”
?!
Antisemitism isn’t always evil, but Evil is always antisemitic.
