Amen. I go to a nondenominational (really baptist) church with my husband. Recently one of pastors was giving a sermon and he distinctly stated that Jesus said that the bread and wine “represents” the body and blood. I could not help but vigorously shake my head at that nonsense. I let a week pass by and then asked another one of the pastors about it saying that I cannot find anywhere in scripture that states that Jesus says “represents”. My pastor had to admit that it is a protestant thing and that they do not believe that the elements actually changed. I do not want to get into a long argument with our pastors on this but in my reasoning, if that is the case then they should not believe any of the other things that Jesus says. Or he is admitting that protestants can just pick and choose what parts to believe. I think these are good people that give good biblical guidance in a lot of instances but in this protestants just fall flat on their faces.

(Not a comment on the validity..)

A fellow parish council member once stated in a meeting that “Everyone must go to Medjugorje!”..
I looked him straight in the eye and asked “Why? HE’s right next door!”

If Jesus lied about the Eucharist being His Body and Blood, then, Jesus is not God. We are not saved and we have no saints in heaven, not even the Blessed Mary. Perpetual Virgin.
At Fatima Blessed Mary said that she comes from heaven with God’s permission.
So, Jesus did not lie.
