That is a man who likely played a lot of sand lot ball growing up. A bat, a ball and sometimes a catcher’s mitt, plus a lot of eager neighborhood kids were all that was needed.

Exactly. Used to spend whole days in the summer just playing ball. Made friends and had fun. Also learned how not to have fights even though we called all our own outs.
😎 I’m pretty pleased with our Pope. And that doll has been knitted beautifully. Bravo to the creator.
My hope is Pope Leo will remove restrictions to the TLM. It does not seem high on his priority list at the moment it seems. Does anyone know if he has had discussions or hinted at his intentions so far?
At this point, Ezabelle, those hoping for at least a return to Summorum Pontificum are encouraged by Pope Leo’s recent uses of Latin in public, such as his chanting of the Regina Caeli from the balcony over St Peter’s Square. But there haven’t been any other clear indications as yet, so far as I’m aware.
Supposedly there was a Latin Mass celebrated at the church where Francis is buried within days after Pope Leo XIV was installed.
Liked playing sand lot baseball on summer evening with the neighborhood kids in grade school. As I remember there were only two of us girls that showed up to play with the fellows.
