Gaslighter in Chief. In years to come many politicians will attempt to copy Trump, although none will admit they are doing so. They will all fail. Trump is sui generis, and attempts to copy him will fall as flat as attempts to deny how effective he tends to be with a style that would be a disaster for a normal politician.

It sure would be nice if, while the TDS sufferers’ heads are exploding over this, Trump would spend some serious time on the phone with Thune and Johnson to get the judicial reform bill passed, to eliminate the tyranny of the leftist District Court judges and their infernal “nationwide” (or even world wide) injunctions. Enough is enough.

Nearly long as I can recall the content of newspapers, the media has been given to manufacturing sh!tstorms as a means of attempting to embarrass politicians and make them dance. The most recent was an attempt to badger the Secretary of Defense into resigning due to carelessness (or scamming around) by someone on the NSC staff who does not work for him. One thing I like about Trump is that he showed Republican politicians that they could tell the media to pound sand and not suffer injury from so doing.
Trump is certainly unique – none like him before and none like him to follow. A once in a lifetime combination of businessman and TV personality who uses his Queens upbringing to tell what needs to be told to the people who need to hear it whether or not they want to hear it. Bombastic, antagonistic and driven are not political virtues, but then a majority of American who voted don’t want a lying politician in the White House.
