Would love to see him win but not betting the house on it.

Off topic but too good not to share: last night Greg Gutfeld and his guests REALLY went off on JB Pritzker and the utter insanity of his transgender policies. (Advisory for vulgar language and plenty of graphic fat jokes).

And don’t miss the part at the end about the Australian twins who talk in sync….

I’ve been saying for a while that he would be my first and second choice. I do worry about whether he would share some of Benedict’s flaws in regard to the clean up that needs to happen.

I’ve been asking St Thomas a Becket that he would ask for a pope similar to him.

In other words, someone who the worldly *think* they want, but who proves to be more than they bargained for!

We don’t deserve it, but we greatly desire it.

Obviously a great man, and one about which we believing Catholics all over the world would all be jubilant! Unfortunately, the “other side” knows it too. They will block him. They certainly have a third of the College of Cardinals. He needs 2/3. He is also 79. If Francis had died one month later, Sarah would not even have been able to vote in the conclave. what we have to hope for is a deadlock. THEY will be pushing the “usual suspects” that we know too well over the course of this 12 years. It will have to be a “compromise” candidate, someone “”Unknown.” We have to hope–and pray, fast and sacrifice– that this unknown person is good. Our only faint Hope for Sarah is that the “good guys” rally all behind him–and NEVER BUDGE. If Sarah can hold through 32 ballots he might survive until, by current law, he is one of the two people left. HOWEVER, even in that event, he still needs 2/3! I cannot see the “usual suspects” ever voting for him for obvious reasons. It is a beautiful vision, but sadly and painfully one which will not become reality. I have other people in mind but I do not even want to mention them. We are all painfully aware of how conspiratorial, “locked and loaded” the other side is. we have been receiving divine intervention. We need lots more of it and it will not be easy. Let’s join together in “storming heaven” and Our Lady, Mother the Church, and Untier of Knots, for a truly Catholic pope!

God-willing. Cardinal Sarah comes across as a deep thinker, gentle, yet clear. Reminds me of another Pope we had not long ago.

I don’t know how he will do with being a tough decision-maker in regards to the “clean up” – he will need a very wide broom.

God will surely grant him the strength and grace to do his job well. Praying for his election.

Utmost respect for Cardinal Sarah, but feel he’s too old (would be a good “transition” Pope). He can emerge as a Popemaker though, he can be a bridge builder between Africa and the more conservative Cardinals in the other areas of the world. He strikes me as a person has a good pulse on what the more conservative Cardinals are thinking and he’s well respected by all.

Cardinal Sarah would be a splendid pope.

That said, I personally would be delighted to see Bishop Robert Barron as our next pope.

I realize he does not have a snowball’s chance, particularly because he is a fellow American. But he combines many desirable qualities – the faithful and professional media credibility of Archbishop Sheen, the clear and confident teaching ability of Pope Benedict, and the fearless and joyful personal Catholic Faith of our good St. John Paul. And he is relatively young and healthy enough to deal with the burdens and responsibilities of the papacy.

He is far from perfect by any means – but exactly who is?

God bless and protect the College of Cardinals and us.
