Pope Francis had all the wrong friends and none of the right enemies.

” The world will hate you, because it hated me.”
The world loving a pope – or even bishops – has to ring alarm bells.
Salt. Flavorless and good for nothing.
If the Church can not lead souls to Christ bc it would rather become “nice” then throw it out.
Thank God we still have leadership within our church who know the difference between swimming against the current or being swept down stream.
Holy Water. Only Holy Water for the flock.
Anything less is unacceptable.
It’s been a lot like that on my social media feeds from people I know who are either not particularly religious or are very liberal. I have felt the urge to shower after wading into all the hagiographic praise and how much the Church will now be plunged into the dark ages that Francis is no longer with us.
May all the media’s fears of squandering Francis’s legacy be realized!
I just remind myself that the same ‘experts’ and media figures singing the praises of Francis’ pontificate are the very same people who sang the praises of Joe Biden and told us he was sharp as a tack and couldn’t possibly be corrupt. These are the same ‘experts’ who told us the BLM riots were ‘mostly peaceful’ and defunding the police would somehow be a great idea, and men are women if they just decide they are.
These people seem to make their living pushing ridiculous, obvious lies. I agree with Father V: they are tiresomely, utterly predictable in their falsehood and stupidity.
Clinton.
You can only give what you have.
The experts and media figures do not have the Truth within them, hence the falsehoods and wordsmithing they conjure up.
Sin makes one stupid and the facilitator of lies.
That, the lies, they have an super abundance of.
Their “gift” to the world.
The praise this former pope is receiving from the pro abortion, pro sodomycrowd is deafening.
it speaks for itself.
As I was driving to Mass this morning I had Bloomberg Radio on, and they were discussing the implications of the upcoming conclave. And who do they have on as a person to discuss it ? Take a guess. James Martin SJ. I said out loud to myself Oh! No! I managed to change the channel before he got on.
The thing with Pope Francis was he was against abortion. Gotta give him that. He was deliberately muddy on homosexuality, China, Communism, Church corruption and certain Dogmas like women priests.
He also didn’t defend the Faith and its teachings to the media.
But abortion he was clear on. Whether that made no difference because he was weak on the other issues is probably the problem with how effective he was when it counted in regards to Human dignity and protecting life..
Up to a point it’s kind of fun to speculate on who the next pope could be, but between all the mainstream media practically canonizing him and the trad Catholic media damning him with very faint, if any, praise, I may just ignore all Vatican news for the next two weeks (the conclave can’t start any earlier than May 6) and pray daily for a holy and competent Pope to be elected.
