Go here to read the story. What foes of Catholicism fail to understand is that no matter how dismal the prospects for the Church may appear at any point in History, God and His grace are there for those who seek the Faith and that no honest seeker is ever turned away. It brings to mind two quotes:

I like what Napoleon said. Only the Son of God could build an Empire based on love. Nobody else in the history of the world has ever achieved this.
