As I recall that church in Georgetown is Trinity Parish. Believe that is the parish Biden attended. Full of lib Irish Dem Catholics. A 92 y.o. friend, a Georgetown U grad bemoans how liberal. Marxist “off the rails” the Jesuit order has become. He has told me that the Jebies in the old days were great guys, maybe some would have a drinking problem. At the worst maybe a girl friend but never a homosexual. He’s wealthy but I doubt he still ‘llgives to his alma mater.
St. Ignatius Loyola and St. Francis Xavier, pray for us.
The assistant Priest at our Parish finished off Mass by urging us to read “The Jesuit Disruptor – a personal portrait of Pope Francis”…*eyeroll*…had never heard of it but the title immediately turned me off. Such a shame about the Jesuits. I pray they turn around one day.
Nina Wright replies, “the people are lovely, the church is the issue”
Too too often in this mire of synodality we are told we must walk together with people who don’t know where they are going. Staying in a church or even the Church because of lovely people is damnably stupid. (adjective intentional)
Stay in the Church because He is lovely. If He does not yet appear so, look harder. If He does not always appear so, reconsider what you call lovely.
I go to Church to see Jesus Christ in the Real Presence. Every body else ….
One Mass the sodomite priest insisted that the people must accept “our sodomite brothers”. Hell no.
